How to Solve the Issue of Unstable Dimensions in PVC Carbon Crystal Panels, Where the Middle is Thick and the Sides are Thin?

During the production process of PVC foam boards - carbon crystal panels, it is common to encounter a phenomenon where the middle is thicker and the sides are thinner, sometimes accompanied by cross-sectional bubble pores or edge paste phenomena, leading to a decline in product quality and even affecting normal production. The causes of these issues are usually related to the state of plasticization, which could be either over-plastification or under-plastification.

  • When under-plastification occurs, increasing internal lubricants can enhance the plasticization effect.

  • When over-plastification occurs, reducing internal lubricants or increasing external lubricants (such as PE wax) can balance the plasticization.

Additionally, oxidized wax can regulate plasticization: Oxidized wax (such as OPE-30) can quickly adjust plasticization, improve demolding properties, and balance the effects of internal and external lubrication, especially suitable for high-filler formulations. Adjusting the speed of plasticization by adding or subtracting oxidized wax is more rapid and effective.
